BREAK POINTS
Break Points are useful for
determining the most economical purchase quantity. For example, for a
job requiring 380 sheets of a paper that is packed 500 sheets per
package, the "break point" is 334 sheets and it is more
economical to buy a full package of 500 sheets than a broken package
amount of 380 sheets.
The following formula
can be used to calculate a Break Point:
